RAFTING DOWN THE RIVER IN BAVARIA.
A traditional way to travel the river.
Our buses take you down the river to Wolfratshausen in the neighbouring Bavaria. Here it is time to board the raft and begin the trip down the river.
The history of rafting in Bavaria dates back to the 12th century. The traditional rafts 18 m x 7 m in size are fitted with benches and tables for food and drinks and there is even room enough for the musicians for your entertainment. The experienced rafters, gondoliers of the river Isar, take care of the steering and all you have to do is to enjoy whilst travelling the about 30 km stretch down the river direction Munich.
A special attraction on the river is the 3 rapids, first one with 18 m drop in 365 m, which the rafters have to steer through. A real adrenalin kick for everybody on board. This day-trip is especially suitable as a company outing for 20 - 50 persons, but on the scheduled trips even smaller parties can join the fun.
